Last night Ryan and I went to an amazing restaurant in Seattle called Bizzaro
They were featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives
so that made it even more exciting to go!
They don’t take reservations so we went and had to wait a little, only twenty minutes but we didn’t mind, neither did the many other diners who came to put their names down and wait for a table! The hostess was wonderful, I really loved her, just so nice, friendly and funny! While waiting we hung around and took a few pictures
I think this is a part of a piano, whatever it is it looked gorgeous.
Ryan wishes he were a blogger.
The inside was like no restaurant I’ve ever been to
At first glance I thought it was a real kitten!
When it was our turn to be seated the hostess said we had the best table in the house, she wasn’t kidding!
Because of this little partition / wall / pillar it was like we were in our own private restaurant.
The table we were at was full of little notes! Underneath the glass cover people had written on tiny pieces of paper, business cards and even money! There were some dating back to 2010
At the end of our meal we were sure to leave one too!
We started with a half carafe of house wine, I loved how they served it in little glasses instead of wine glasses, very downtown, as I explained to Ryan
They started us out with bread and oil. The waitress came out with the plate of bread and a plate with a little metal shot glass thing on it. When she put it on our table she lifted the glass and the olive oil and vinegar plopped out!
The food looked so good and the restaurant had such a unique menu that we decided to try a appetizers as well as a meal and if anything just bring the leftovers home. Our appetizer was a wonderful eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was super thin and crispy and the sauce spicy and almost as good as the one Ryan makes me with love, almost.
Diners Drive ins and Dives, as well as many online reviewers, recommended the Clam Linguini so that’s what we both had.
Loved it!! But was too stuffed to finish it so we boxed the leftovers up and went for the dessert menu!
I can never resist a volcano cake and they had one on the menu. Chocolate cake with chilli mixed in topped with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. We’ve never had chocolate mixed with spice before, it was very different but really great.
When the bill came the waitress handed us a Bizzaro pen to sign with, I was so into it so Ryan asked the hostess if they sold them or anything and she handed each one of us a brand new Bizzaro pen! I told you she was awesome!
